The Lifesaving Society designates the third week in July as National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) to focus community and media attention on the drowning problem and drowning prevention.
Throughout NDPW the Lifesaving Society, Ontario is active on social media. I create public education messages that target the high risk drowning groups for distribution on social media.
My job is to make the message matter to our community.
If they care, they will share, those shares can lead to educating Canadians about water safety and prevent drowning deaths.
Our community is full of caring and kind people.
Thanks to Social Media Chair Megan Hutchison for her contributions to the Society’s strong social media presence during the summer months and in particular during National Drowning Prevention week.”

Celebrate Success
Get the training. Hours of training goes into becoming a national lifeguard.
Every moment of training goes into turning skills into muscle memory. Those skills save lives.
This is the Beacon Bible Camp skills camp 2016. They have just taken their national lifeguard waterfront course and they look pretty stoked about it.
