Games

Come see the games I’ve worked on. Here you can see the contributions and what I’ll be working on next.

Narrative Design

Season: a Letter to the Future is a narrative driven game about a young girl that leaves home for the first time to record the world before it changes forever.

As a narrative designer, my role was to work with the writer to make his world come to life and document the lore to distribute to the other teams.

Integration and Copy Editing

Anything you can touch, pick up or read was implemented by myself or a team member. VO gates were created using “add deed” and “remove deed” function in Unreal Engine to prevent Estelle from repeating herself over, and over, and over again.

I moved from grading English papers to editing text as a Narrative Designer. To keep things on track, I made a style guide for Season. This was shared with marketing, narrative and localisation teams. So we all knew that the use of the word “god” was lowercase unless it was a title.

I had written a lot of lore that isn’t in the game… Some may think, “Aww man, that’s a bummer,” but I would disagree with that. The practice of writing that lore made me understand the world better, and pieces of it inspired other storylines. Even though an idea isn’t in the game in its original form, it still impacts the story and the team.

For me, that’s the meaning of collaboration.
